IBLF Global observes the training of Internal Control Mechanisms and Codes of Conduct in Viet Nam

December 21, 2019

In Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (VCCI) last week, IBLF Global observed the pilot training that has been developed as part of our Government-Business Integrity Initiative under the UNDP's "Promoting a Fair Business Environment in ASEAN".

The focus of the training was internal control mechanisms and codes of conduct - the two main areas that companies have to comply with under the revised Law on Anti-Corruption which came into force a few months ago.

Mr Brook Horowitz has been working on this kind of training for SMEs in Vietnam for a good three years now, and he considers the team has finally found the right approach.

This audience of about 40 accountants, internal auditors and finance managers really understood the rationale and importance of what are in Vietnam quite new management tools. They were engaged, enthusiastic, participating in the case studies, and asking all the right questions right to the end of a long day.

Congratulations to the trainers, Lien Vu of the National Economics University and Ivan Pham and his team from Deloitte; and to Đinh Thị Bích Xuân of VCCI and her team for making it all happen to her usual high standards.
