Kyrgyztn E-proc SME

Start of a New Project with UNDP's Promoting A Fair Business Environment in ASEAN

September 17, 2019

IBLF Global  was in Kyrgyz Republic for the launch of Tandoo, the new e-catalogue which allows SMEs to offer their products and services through the public procurement service. This was the latest stage of the EBRD project which I have been working on over the last couple of years.

"Tandoo" is Kyrgyz for "choice", and the new system offers government purchasing departments more choice in selecting suppliers, and SMEs more opportunities to compete for new business in a fair and transparent way.

The next step is an on-hands training programme for SMEs throughout the country.

We thank all our colleagues who made it possible, starting with Nurida Baizakova, Director of the Public Procurement Department of the Kyrgyz Republic (pictured) and her team; from the EBRD in London and Bishkek, Eliza Niewiadomska, Yulia Shapovalova, Neil McKain, Jyldyz Galieva; our local consultants Tulik Isaev, Manasbek Zhakshybaev, Kanat Moldokulov; and our international consultants Tato Urjumelashvili, Christopher Yukins and my project co-director Dominic Le Moignan.
