Workshop Hosted by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Hanoi

There was major participation in the workshop organised by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). The aim was to consult with companies about a new training programme being designed under UNDP’s “Promoting a Fair Business Environment in ASEAN” programme.
The training is being developed to help Vietnamese companies comply with the Revised Law on Anti-Corruption that recently came into force. We received plenty of useful feedback which will be incorporated into the training before it is piloted in early October.
Also, there was a lunch hosted by the British Ambassador at his residence. Dinh Van Minh, Director General, Legal Department, Government Inspectorate, H.E. Gareth Ward, the UK Ambassador, Caitlin Wiesen, UNDP Resident Representative, Vinh Quang Nguyễn, Secretary-General of VCCI, and Brook Horowitz (see photo, right) presented the Fair Business Environment in Vietnam programme to leaders of major companies, banks and investors.e.
